Design Story

The composition is built around opposition. A pale full moon anchors the upper right, its light cooling the slate roofs and bare branches, while amber glow from the arched windows, the porch lantern and a small candle lantern pulls the eye downward into the entry. Pumpkins in orange, cream and deep green form a loose arc along the base, guiding the gaze toward the stone steps and the wreathed door. The carved-looking relief and the darker circular border frame the scene without crowding it, and a small ornamental placard reading Moonlit Pumpkin Cottage sits in the right negative space, balancing the mass of the cottage on the left. Nothing moves. The tension is entirely atmospheric.

Display & Styling

As a round wood sign, the disc format works with the scene rather than against it \Uffffffff the curved border echoes the moon and closes the composition inward. Wall-mounted or hung on a door, the rope cord reads as part of the picture, and the central detail holds attention at entry scale.
