Design Story

The surface carries a soft ivory checkerboard, tiled edge to edge so the pattern behaves like texture rather than print. Centered on the front panel sits the orange block letter mark, the only saturated colour in the whole composition, anchored beneath by crossed bats and a small ball rendered in gold tone. Below that, stacked serif lettering reads Tennessee Volunteers Baseball, tapering in scale for a clean typographic hierarchy. The lower third turns into an engraved-style stadium frieze wrapped around the base, finished with a checkerboard band at the foot. Curved seam-stitch motifs run up both sides, filling the negative space without crowding the focal area.

Use & Experience

On a vertical drinkware silhouette, the layering pays off. The eye lands on the orange mark at chest height of the form, then travels down through the wordmark to the architectural band, giving the tumbler a real sense of vertical proportion. Gold-toned lid and handle accents echo the artwork's metallic notes, so the whole object reads as one considered palette rather than a graphic applied to a cup. Understated enough for a desk, distinct enough for the stands.
