Design Story

The composition is stacked with real discipline. Up top, a small crest with an M anchors the centre line. Beneath it, MICHIGAN sits in heavy collegiate slab caps as the clear focal point, with THE BIG HOUSE and ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN stepping down in smaller weights. That descending hierarchy is why your eye lands exactly where it should. Then the lower half opens into a fine gold line-art stadium bowl, drawn in thin engraved strokes that contrast beautifully against the flat, deep navy above. Restraint in the top half, detail in the bottom half. That's the trick.

Use & Experience

On a tall tumbler silhouette, this layout reads perfectly. The vertical proportion gives the typography a full focal panel at eye level, while the stadium art wraps around the taper below, so the design keeps working as the vessel turns in your hand. The negative space in the upper navy field stops it from feeling crowded, and the gold accents give it genuine carry presence on a desk, a tailgate table, or a passenger seat.
